The 2nd Annual Hampton Spring Crafts Festival will take place at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, in Hampton, VA. This event brings an enormous opportunity for artisans looking for newly developed markets. Currently there are no other professional indoor craft shows taking place during the spring season on “The Peninsula”. The Hampton Spring Crafts Festival will feature 150 artists and craftspeople offering fine art, pottery, jewelry, woodcraft, leather, art glass, and more. A limited selection of vendors selling gift-packaged food will be featured as well.

ALL ABOUT “THE PENINSULA”

The City of Hampton is part of an area known as the Peninsula, located between Norfolk and Richmond, VA, on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.

Encompasses the northern portion of the metro area known as Hampton Roads and includes Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown, Williamsburg, Jamestown and many other smaller southeastern Virginia towns. Events held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center will draw from Southside Hampton Roads (Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Suffolk) and Richmond as well.

  • Home to world leaders in the shipbuilding industry, military bases and related support industries including Langley Air Force Base, NASA Langley Research Center, Newport News Shipyard, Northrop Gruman, Canon, and Allied Aerospace.
  • The Peninsula’s population of more than 500,000 is younger, somewhat better educated, and slightly higher white collar than the national average. Median income for the Peninsula is higher than both the US and Virginia incomes. The Peninsula is also home to thousands of military and affluent retirees, especially in the Williamsburg and Gloucester areas.

"Support American Craftspeople"

The craft show industry and America's artisans are feeling the effects of cheap, imported knock offs now being sold in every mega-retail store and catalog throughout the U.S.

With this major issue at hand, we, as promoters, will continue our efforts in creating awareness and appreciation for all American artists and craftspeople.

Please join us at the next show where you will find some of the most creative and exciting handcrafts and fine art exhibited anywhere in Virginia this season.
