The
Northern Virginia Christmas Market features more than 300 fine
artisans from more than 20 states. Readers of Sunshine Artist Magazine
voted this popular event as one of the best 100 arts and crafts shows
in the USA. Just in time for serious gift-buying, the Dulles Expo Center
will be transformed into a huge festive marketplace bursting with over
15,000 shoppers looking for a kalidescope of traditional and contemporary
artworks. Featured artisans will offer fine arts, pottery, jewelry, stained
glass, wood, photography, fiber arts, Christmas collectibles and much
more. A “Taste of the Holidays” will feature over 20 specialty
food vendors offering gift-packaged gourmet fare such as almond pound
cakes, spicy salsas, party dips, fudge-by-the-pound, sparkling cider,
and holiday fruitcakes.

Capital Area Foodbank
The Northern Virginia Christmas Market holds a
major food drive each year benefiting the Capital Area Foodbank by offering
50 cents off admission to attendees donating cans of non-perishable food.
The Capital Area Food Bank, a non-profit organization, serves needy families
throughout Northern Virginia, Washington DC and suburban Maryland. Last
year over 5,000 pounds of food was collected during this popular 3-day
event. And, over 80,000 pounds of food have been collected in the last
10 years.

Good News

"We collected 4,500 pounds of food, bringing our 7
year food total to 47,433 pounds! The craft show/sale drew shoppers from
the mid-atlantic region and vendors from across the United States. Our
hosts, the very friendly people of Events Management Group, made us feel
right at home."

"Support American Craftspeople"
The craft show industry and America's artisans are feeling
the effects of cheap, imported knock offs now being sold in every mega-retail
store and catalog throughout the U.S.
With this major issue at hand, we, as promoters, will continue
our efforts in creating awareness and appreciation for all American artists
and craftspeople.
Please join us at the next show where you will find some
of the most creative and exciting handcrafts and fine art exhibited anywhere
in Virginia this season.
