Area's Largest Spring Craft Show Returns March 15-17, 2013

The 27th Annual Virginia Beach Spring Craft Market produced by Events Management Group (EMG) will feature 150 artists and craftspeople (40 new exhibitors) from 23 states. Just in time for fresh spring decorating, Mother’s Day gift-buying and Easter fashions, the Convention Center will be transformed into a festive marketplace bustling with 10,000 enthusiastic shoppers looking for a diverse selection of traditional and contemporary artworks. From the twenty-somethings to the baby-boomers, there’s something unique and extraordinary for every taste and budget.

Featured artisans will offer pottery, jewelry, fine arts, stained glass, wood crafts, baskets, photography, fiber arts, apparel and many more handcrafted items. Spring specialties will consist of wrought iron, seasonal wreaths, garden statuary, birdhouses, handmade pet treats and accessories, outdoor furniture and wind chimes.

Specialty food creators presenting tasty handmade edibles will offer Belgian chocolates, gourmet peanuts, Easter Eggs, homemade preserves, Amish breads, party dips, marinades, soups, spicy salsas and more.

March is National Craft Month!

Be sure to check out the “You Make It! Craft Central” areas. Join in and try your hand at several projects being offered for the first time during the event!

7 Cities Crafters will be teaching several make and take craft projects for all ages- booth 388

Kathy Rose will demonstrate and allow others to try their hand at coloring mandellas – booth 292

Beekeepers Guild of Southeast Virginia will assist children in making beeswax candles – booth 428

Americans are moving back to traditional hand made work, with a unique value and a story all of its own. These artisans are part of a green and natural movement across the United States to return to a simpler time when gifts and pleasures were not enjoyed inside a mall, but rather by visiting a local artisan's studio. Within our show be sure to visit Heritage Celebration – a focus on craft demonstrations and education where craft work can be viewed in progress. Enjoy hand made techniques passed down by generations before, transforming raw materials into something of value that can be admired and used for years to come.
