Wow, what a ride it has been. Over 40 years! What started as a small country craft consignment store (Countryside Shops next to VB Farmer's Market) has turned into decades of bringing you some of the best American made crafts in the region several times a year. Many of these artists have become like family to us and many of you too. In fact, our shows often feature 2nd generation artisans that grew up helping out their parents at shows and are now carrying on the family tradition of producing quality handmade arts & crafts for all to enjoy.
Be sure to check out a recent article about Events Management Group in the Crafts Report magazine. A copy of the article can be found here (PDF).

Shop Small on Small Business Saturday - Nov. 30th
EMG is encouraging patrons to show their support and gratitude for these entrepreneurs by pledging to "shop small" on Saturday, Nov. 30th, the 15th National Small Business Saturday. Small businesses are the lifeline of the American economy, they create jobs, boost the economy, preserve neighborhoods and a way of life. Inspired by generations before them, these artists represent what America is all about. They use their hands and skills to transform raw materials into something of value that can be admired and used for years to come.
Taste of the Holidays
“Taste of the Holidays” food vendors will offer gift-packaged gourmet fare such as almond pound cakes, holiday cookies, spicy salsas, fudge-by-the-pound, fruit cakes and homemade jams and jellies. These tasty homemade goodies are ideal for creating great gift baskets, loading up Santa’s stockings, and gathering those hard-to-find executive gifts.
The Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia & The Red Cross need your help!
Times are tough, donations are down and people in need of help are numerous. Food banks are experiencing a critical shortage of supplies as donations drop and demand for free and discounted food continues to soar. The Virginia Beach Christmas Market holds a major food drive each year benefiting the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia by offering $1 off admission to attendees donating cans of non-perishable food.
Last year over 8,000 pounds of food was collected during the 3-day event. And, well over 100,000 pounds of food have been collected in the last 10 years. Side Note: The tractor trailers you see on the highway carry about 40,000 pounds.
Thank you for your generous donations! Let's break a record this year!
Give Blood = Free Entry
We will also be offering free admission to anyone that donates blood to the Red Cross. They will be on site all 3 days from 9am. - 3pm.
We hope to see you there!
